201 stainless steel wire physical properties
201 is a nickel-nickel type stainless steel which is non-magnetic in a solid solution state and has a small amount of magnetic properties after cold working. Compared with common stainless steels such as 304, the chemical composition of 201 has the characteristics of low nickel, high manganese and high nitrogen. 201 stainless steel has good formability, corrosion resistance and workability. It is similar to 301 stainless steel. 201 stainless steel is commonly used for interior decorative materials, structural members, different types of stamped and formed parts, as well as siding and roofing for railway vehicles and trailers.
201 stainless steel wire is one of 200 series stainless steel. It has the characteristics of acid resistance, alkali resistance, high density, no bubble polishing, no pinhole, etc. It is the material for producing different case and strap bottom cover.
201 stainless steel wire physical properties:
Tensile strength: 100,000 to 180,000 psi
Yield strength: 50,000 to 150,000 psi
Elongation: 55 to 60%
Modulus of elasticity: 29,000,000 psi
Hardness requirement (Brinell hardness) HRB < 183="" n="" mm="" 2="">
Density: .280lbs/cubic inch (density 7.93g/cm3)
201 stainless steel wire use and characteristics:
201 stainless steel wire use: used in petroleum, electronics, food, machinery, construction, aerospace, military, chemical, textile, fishery, construction, precision instruments, hardware tools, handicrafts, etc.
201 stainless steel wire features: beautiful surface condition, good formability, high plasticity, uniform wire diameter, high dimensional accuracy, good lightness, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, not easy to wear, not easy to age, high tensile strength, chemical composition Stable, low inclusion content.
Grade 201 is a nickel-saving type stainless steel which is non-magnetic in a solid solution state and has a small amount of magnetic properties after cold working.
Having with common stainless steels grades such as 304, the chemical composition of 201 has the characteristics of low nickel, high manganese and high nitrogen.
Grade 201 stainless steel has good formability, corrosion resistance, and fabricability. It is similar to that of 301 stainless steel.
Common usage includes interior decorations, structural members, different kinds of severely formed parts, and siding and roofing for railway cars and trailers.
